National awards for professionals

IPENZ recognises individual Members through awards presented at the IPENZ Fellows' and Achievers' Dinner. IPENZ also raises the public profile of engineering and engineers by being involved with the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards.

Fulton-Downer Gold Medal - President's Award - presented annually to an IPENZ Member or group of Members to acknowledge effort and achievement, particularly demonstrating the strengths of the engineering profession in its role of public service.

Fulton-Downer Silver Medal - President's Award - an occasional award presented to recognise an IPENZ Member for meritorious service within the engineering profession.

MacLean Citation - an occasional award presented to a Member who has rendered exceptional and distinguished service to the profession.

Turner Award for Professional Commitment - an award presented annually in recognition of a continuing contribution to the ideals of a self-regulating engineering profession.

Supreme Technical Awards for Engineering Achievers - biennial awards presented to IPENZ Members. The award recognises individual Members who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their career, to the advancement of engineering knowledge and its practical application.

New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards - premier awards to recognise and celebrate excellence in engineering, presented annually at the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards Dinner. These awards are not restricted to IPENZ Members.

New Zealand Royal Honours and IPENZ Members - IPENZ supports the nomination of professional engineers and seeks your suggestions.
