Introduction

IPENZ is governed by a Board consisting of a President, Deputy President, Vice-President, immediate Past-President and eight other Board members. Services to members are delivered by a number of mechanisms. All members resident in New Zealand are automatically a member of a geographic Branch which provide programmes of activities and services in their local region. Members overseas and in the United Kingdom have a Branch based in London. Members may then select to join one or more Technical Groups which provide on a national basis programmes of activities and services associated with a particular engineering specialty or discipline. They may also choose to join a Special Interest Group which also operates on a national basis, providing services of interest to a particular cross-section of the membership.

IPENZ has one Office from which many services are delivered - National Office is located in central Wellington.

Key people in the organisation, and associated delivery mechanisms include the Board and staff, plus the office-bearers of each of the Branches, Technical Groups and Special Interest Groups. There are also others who serve on a variety of specialist panels and committees.
