Events organised for Branch members
The Branch Committee organises a programme of monthly meetings and activities. These include presentations by local and visiting speakers, site visits to significant projects or businesses, the President's visit, and hosting the annual Pickering Lecture. These events provide opportunities for Branch members to meet socially and network.

The Branch emails members a monthly newsletter and other notices with information about events and other news of interest.

Promoting the profession
The Branch seeks to raise awareness of engineering issues in the wider community. It collaborates with other organisations such as the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, technical groups, and Victoria University of Wellington.

• Futureintech - the Branch actively supports this IPENZ initiative funded by the Government to promote careers in technology, engineering and science

How the Branch is managed
The Branch holds an Annual General Meeting in November and elects a committee to manage its affairs.
