The Otago Branch provides services for IPENZ Members in the Otago and Central Otago regions.

Events organised for Branch members
We are an active Branch and generally organise at least one to two events per month. We endeavour to have a variety of events including presentations on topical issues, site visits to significant projects or businesses, and social functions. Meetings are preceded by drinks and nibbles, providing a good opportunity to socialise and network with other Branch members and guests.

Communicating with Branch members
A regular newsletter is emailed to Branch members with information about events and other news of interest. Other notices are emailed as required.

• Futureintech - the Branch actively supports the IPENZ initiative to attract more young people into careers in science, engineering and technology
• Prizes offered by the Branch to students

How the Branch is managed
The Branch holds an Annual General Meeting at the end of each year and elects a committee to manage its affairs. Committee meetings are held at 12.30pm in Strictly Coffee, Bath Street, Dunedin, on the first Friday of the month. The committee wants to involve as many Members as possible in our Branch activities. If there is anything you would like to see happen, or you have an idea for an event, presentation or site visit, please contact the committee.
