Major projects we are involved with/have been involved with :
PDP is a New Zealand-owned consulting company providing specialist engineering, scientific and planning services in the environmental field.
We have worked with a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors, including central and local government agencies, international and home-grown companies, other consultants, and members of the public. We have undertaken projects throughout New Zealand, and in Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Our specialised range of services is focused towards natural and physical environmental issues. We apply engineering, science and planning to find sound solutions for your environmental issues. We have worked on projects ranging in type and scale from installing groundwater wells to remediating contaminated land at timber mills, from resource consent applications to design and construction management of wastewater treatment systems.

How we support the community :
PDP offices and staff support a variety of social and community activities.
Summer work placement opportunities:
The requirement for summer interns varies from year to year. Current requirements are detailed on our website.
Due to limited capacity to provide summer work which is interesting and relevant, we prefer to recruit students who are in their penultimate year of study. This ensures that they have a more extensive academic background to draw upon and enables them to take the opportunity to study some relevant subjects. It is also more likely that they will have a clearer view of their area of interest.
Application including cover letter, CV and academic transcript may be sent to employment@pdp.co.nz
Scholarships and awards we offer:
PDP have a tradition of supporting academic achievement and the development of knowledge in the environmental field. Some of the ways we do this is through:
PDP Annual Prize in Engineering Hydrology.
Awarded to a student of engineering hydrology at the School of Engineering, University of Auckland. 2009 Prize Winner: Julie Min Zou.
PDP Annual Prize in Ecological Engineering.
Awarded to a student of ecological engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Canterbury. 2008 prize winner: Jenna Hutchison.
