Applying for Companion, Affliate and Student Membership

Companions (Comp IPENZ)
The Companion class of membership is for people who have not been educated in engineering, but who have attained a position of significant responsibility related to the engineering profession – most likely in senior management roles with responsibility for engineers, or involved in decision making activities that have significant impacts on the engineering profession.

Affiliate Members
This class of membership is not based on demonstration of competency in any way. The Affiliate Information Guideline provides details on how to join as an Affiliate Member.

Student Members
Student membership is another non-competence based class of membership. It is intended for students, studying towards a tertiary qualification in engineering, and enables them to become involved in issues concerning their future profession.

Annual Subscriptions

Subscriptions are only payable on invoice.  On election to Membership, the level of subscription for the current year is assessed on a pro-rata basis and an invoice is issued.  Refer to http://www.ipenz.org.nz/ipenz/join/subs.cfm for subscription rates.
