IPENZ Premier Awards

The MacLean Citation, the Fulton-Downer Gold Medal - Presidents Award and the Fulton-Downer Silver Medal are the premier awards of IPENZ. The Fulton-Donwer Silver Medal is an occasional award. Members can not apply for the awards as they are awarded in recognition of an individuals' contribution to engineering. They are presented at the Fellows' and Achievers' Dinner.

National awards presented every March and open to IPENZ Members

Other national awards Turner Award for Professional Commitment, Supreme Technical Awards for Engineering Achievers and the Ray Meyer Medal for Excellence in Student Design are presented are presented at the Fellows' and Achievers' Dinner in March each year and are open to all IPENZ Members.

Awards for engineers and primary and secondary students

The Transpower Neighbourhood Engineers Awards involve engineers and students working together on practical projects in the school and/or community.

New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards national awards open to all engineers and engineering projects

The New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards is a collaboration of like engineering bodies that celebrates engineering excellence. IPENZ is one of four founding partner organisations involved with the running the annual event. The aim of the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards is to celebrate the excellence in engineering whether it is a project or an individual engineer / engineering team. The New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards raises the profile of the profession by show casing engineering at its best by our home grown talent.
