Our Boards and Committees Engineering Practice Board (EPB) The EPB was established in 2002. It was disestablished in 2011 and its functions are now carried out by the Engineering Practice Advisory Committee. Competency Assessment Board (CAB) The Competency Assessment Board ensures that minimum standards of professional competence are consistently applied to candidates seeking recognition through IPENZ competence based membership classes and registers. CAB Terms of Reference (pdf) Ben Holland Standards and Accreditation Board (SAB) The Standards and Accreditation Board is responsible for setting and maintaining minimum standards for entry to the profession (applied through qualification accreditation and recognition) and professional competence (applied through assessment of individuals for competence based membership and registration).
